This week I was fortunate enough to be invited out to Millbrook Estate, a beautiful collection of luxury holiday cottages, and elopement wedding venue, nestled only twenty five minutes from our front door... and what a treat it was for little old me and my camera!
Those of you who know me, will know that I have been pestering my poor husband for a couple of Alpacas for a while now, so you can imagine my squeal of delight when I stepped into the alpaca field and four of them started trotting towards me.
So for lack of a bride, the alpacas stepped in, and what a job they did! The setting itself is beautiful, the above shot was taken on the middle lake, positioned below the Tree Top Escape, a purpose built luxurious tree house, for small intimate weddings. Head over to their website to have a better look around the tree house https://www.treetopescape.co.uk .
The light was magical all afternoon, wandering through the woods it illuminated the few leaves left hanging on the trees beautifully.
The moss on the top of this cabin, nestled in the woodland, looks soft enough to go and have a snooze on, making the whole scene look like something straight out of a JRR Tolkein novel.
Romance is everywhere on the estate, its not hard to see why Millbrook is fast becoming one of the most sought after Elopement Wedding venues in the country, it even had me inkling for a intimate vow's renewal in years to come.
Photographing Millbrook on, what to others, probably seemed like quite a dull autumn afternoon, left me very excited about the prospect of photographing future weddings on the estate. As you can see, the backdrops are incredible, and the venue oozes relaxed romance out of every nook and cranny, and every season will give something new and exciting to photograph; frost and Christmas decorations; spring bulbs and fresh blossom; flowers, foliage, and warm twilights; autumnal leaves on the turn...and all of this behind the ultimate romance of Elopement Weddings, photographic heaven!
If you're getting married at the Millbrook Estate then please do get in touch to discuss wedding photography. I have packages specially designed to suit elopement weddings, and keep dates free in my diary for weddings that are planned with a shorter timescale.
I'd like to say a huge thankyou to Bob and Collette at Millbrook, for taking the time to meet me and show me around the estate, and for the much needed cup of tea!
